First day:

Upon entering Littleroot Town, I hop out of the moving truck to bask in the light of the sun. Seeing all the Pokémon that I had passed by made me excited and filled with nostalgia for coming back to this town once again. It's true I had roamed the region of Hoenn once before when it had first opened up. Sadly however I did not make as big of a splash as I had in Jhoto. So since I've become a better trainer then I once was, I have returned to this region with hopes of achieving the goals I had set for myself all those years ago. Giving a soft sigh as I look up into the bright blue sky my mother calls me over. She tells me to hurry inside and check to see if all my things are as they should be. I of coarse agree and quickly head inside our little home behind her. Giving a thanks to the Machoke that have brought in our belongings I head upstairs to check my clock and all my other little trinkets. Once downstairs I find my mother beckoning me to the tv. Apparently the gym leader of Petalburg City was on. I roll my eyes as my mother swoons over the man before she groans in annoyance. I had thankfully missed the whole thing. I just shrug and tell her it's fine. Why should I worry about that anyway? He's s~o not my type. After which she tells me to visit the Professor and his family.

"W-what? Um... sure I guess..." I reply.

"Well he did invite you after all. His son Brendan is still around. Maybe you two can enjoy your journey together like you did before?"

"R-right. Well... I guess it wouldn't be too bad to see that dork again. Alright, I'm heading out. Catch ya later mom." I waved a goodbye as I headed out the door. She waved back saying something of which I didn't care to catch. The usual goodbye and 'Be safe!' thing would always come out. I was an adult now and yet she still babied me. I wondered sometimes if I should move out to see if I'd grow as a person. Though there was always that fear of having to deal with people who I could care a less for and end up being homeless. It didn't matter now though, I was going to be a trainer once more climbing my way to the top. I'd love every second of it! Feeling the adrenalin rush I walked over to the house next to mine and knocked before entering the little home.

"Hallo Mrs. Birch, is Brendan in?"

There in the quaint little home sat the dark haired women with fair skin and almond brown eyes. Turning her head from her cup of tea she smiled at me and nodded. I gave a small chuckle and walked over to her. We started to talk about the usual things people talk about when catching up with one another. I showed her pictures of my newest Pokémon and victories along with the friends I had made and the Professors I met during my journeys. Once we started to wrap up our little conversation a groan of frustration and shuffling could be heard from the floor upstairs. The two of us looked at each other knowingly before chuckling.

"I'll go see if he needs help."

"Alright, try not to tease him too much." she told me before giving another chuckle.

I chuckled and nodded in response before climbing up the small set of stairs to the boys room. Letting myself in I greeted him loudly in order to scare him. I knew it had worked because the papers he had been collecting from the floor began to scatter to the ground once more. I tried my best to hold in my laughter as he glared at me. I apologized and helped pick up the documents of what could only be on Pokémon. After finishing the two of us laughed and started to chat. He scolded me for not having my Pokémon on me, but also replied that he had started a new when he heard I would be coming back. The two of us grinned at each other knowing our little rivalry would start up once more. We both loved Pokémon deeply and neither of us would back down. Of coarse we always had a friendly rivalry, nothing too ugly or bitter feelings. Just two friends who loved to out do the other. After catching up once more with him he headed out to work in the field like his father. Typical Brendan.

I headed out myself in order to find Prof. Birch. Heading to his lab I had found only his assistant who had told me he was out in the field; like father like son. I rolled my eyes and nodded heading out of the large and empty lab to the northern part of the town. There stood route 101; the only entrance and exit to Littleroot town, at least by foot anyway. A boy stood at the entrance and I could hear yelling. I turned to the dark haired boy for him to answer me. He said Prof. Birch seemed to be in trouble. Sadly the young lad didn't own any Pokémon to help. Giving him a smile I patted his shoulder and told him I'd go in his place. He returned the smile and thanked me while I headed into route one. It was dangerous to go out into the woods alone, but I had no choice. Besides, this was all too familiar a setting. If I had known any better, I have guessed Prof. Birch had dropped his bag with the Pokémon inside like he did the first time I met him. All the while he coward in a tree with a Poochyena barking at him.

Ironicly enough it was the same scene as before. The nostalga came back once more but all I could do was snicker and pick up the Pokeball with the water mark on it. Tossing said item near the little demon dog got his attention. All the while out popped a cute little Mudkip, cheerfully chirping his name before getting serious when seeing his opponent. I called out a few attacks and the little black and grey dog was down for the count. Giving a wink and a thank you I returned the little mudfish back into his Pokeball before walking over to Prof. Birch who had not so gracefully fell from the branch he was on to the ground.

"Some things never change, do they Professor?" I asked giving a chuckle while placing my hands behind my back.

Chuckling in response he nodded. "It's nice to see you too Tamara. I'm glad you're doing well. I see you chose Mudkip again, but I now is not the time or place to talk and catch up. Let's head back to my lab."

Nodding in agreement I fallowed the scruffy man back to Littleroot Town and into his lab. Professor Birch is a well known researcher on Pokémon habitats. Studying where each Pokémon can be found and where they would likely be found in other regions. He tends to throw himself into his work, literal and non; which tends to place him in situations as such as the one earlier. He's a good guy, just a little too enthusiastic for his age if you ask me. When we arrive at his lab, we chat about the usual things and if I'd like to name my new Mudkip. Since I had lost my Swampert long ago, I decided to name the little fellow after him. So after giving him a name I head out upon Prof. Birch's request to find Brendan on Route 103. I use this time between route 101 and 103 to level up my Mudkip nicknamed Sora until he is level 8. After which I proceed to talk with Brendan at the end of Route 103 and defeat his Treecko in battle. He then gives me a 10 Pokeballs and complements my skill. I of coarse return the gesture and make a joke at him which he just casts aside after giving me a shove. He then says that I should head to the lab once again along with him challenging me to a race. Considering my relationship with him, I don't back down and we run back to Littleroot town as quickly as possible. Brendan of coarse wins considering I'm not all that athletic and we both head into the lab together.

"I can't believe you're still that out of shape."

"Oh hush, I'm better with brain then brawn." I reply giving a small glare and a smirk.

"Yeah sure, whatever you say." he says with a teasing smile of his own.

Rolling my eyes I turn my attention to the Professor who hands me the new updated Hoenn Pokedex. I give it a once over and whistle. Professor Birch only chuckles shaking his head at my reaction. "Well I'm sure you know what I'd like from you, and you know your way around a Pokedex. So go out there and have fun." I chuckle while giving a nod before heading out of the lab once again. Upon walking out of Littleroot Town for good, my mother runs up behind me and tells me that there is something waiting for me at the Pokémon center and wishes me good luck. I quickly head out again to catch a few Pokémon and level up my Mudkip. While I'm trying to find more Pokémon to battle I notice a tail sticking out of the grass. I slowly creep up on the Pokémon before letting Sora quickly lower its hit points before tossing a ball at it. After the ball stops rocking I retrieve the item from the ground and smile at the creature inside.

"Not bad, you're a natural at creeping up on things."

"Gah!"

Laughter fills the air as I turn in my immediate panic to find the source of the voice. Leaning against a tree I see Brendan holding his sides as he laughs heartily at my sudden outburst. Tears are pricking the corners of the light brunettes eyes as he continues to laugh at my reaction. I cross my arms while I wait for him to stop. Once he does he glances at me to check if I came closer before letting out another snicker. I roll my eyes in response.

"S-sorry, I didn't mean to scare you, but I'm sure glad I did. Your face was priceless!" he said before roaring in laughter once more. I groaned leaning back in order to roll my head back before giving a huff.

"Oh shut up."

"Hey, all joking aside, I think you should check that Pokémon out."

Figuring that this wasn't a joke, I checked my Pokedex on the little critter.

"Woah... he knows firefang?"

"Cool right?" Brendan says as he walks over to me to look at my Pokedex. "Pokémon that you sneak up on tend to have attacks that they usually wouldn't have in the wild. It's great if you want to build an interesting team."

I nodded as my smile grew before releasing my new teammate. "Alright, I'll name you Zero." I proclaimed to the little dog. The Poochyena, Zero, tilted his head as he sat down to look at me. I giggled kneeling down to pet his head. "Calm nature huh? Well that won't help much in battle, but you sure are a cool little pooch." He only barked in response while wagging his tail.

"I'm guessing you're going to catch more Pokémon?" asked Brendan.

"Yup!" I replied as I stood back up while turning to my rival. "So you better watch out. I'll beat you in just about everything soon." He chuckled and waved me off. Saying our goodbyes I headed to work with my new teammate to gain a few more friends. After a little while I finally had a Zigzagoon, a Seedot, a Surskit, and a shiny Beldum from the event my mom was telling me to go to at the Pokémon Center. "Let's see I've got Sora the Mudkip, Zero the Poochyena, Cici the Zigzagoon, Aria the Seedot, and Masquerade the Surskit. Alright, I think that's a good start. Just a bit of leveling and I think we'll be ready for our first gym." I said smiling down at the Pokémon before me. They all cheered in unison as they fallowed me back on route 102 for more training. I wanted everyone to at least be level 10 or higher before then, so I was going to start training them now. Better stay ahead of the game now, otherwise I'll just fall behind. Don't want that to happen again.

Thought I'd give this a shot. It's kind of an interesting thing to do. In case I want to do a comic, I'll have the written part done already. ^u^ Anyway, hope you enjoy. Yes, there will be spoilers in this. I am playing and writing straight from the game. =u= So if you don't want spoilers, DON'T READ.
